mean




  • arrange data in ascending orders

  • the sum of data of all data

  • not as accurate to find the average when there is an outlier

median



  • order the set of data in an ascending order to find the middle number

  • it's the middle number

  • if the middle number add them and then divide them by 2

  • good to use when outlier

15/5=3 the median number is 3


mode



  • the data that appears the most

  • arrange in ascending order

  • you can have to mode

1,1,1,1,1,1,3


1 is the mode


range



  • arrange the data in ascending order

  • subtract the smallest data from the largest data

1,2,3,4,5


1-5=4
