Chapter 1: Integer Poetry

Adding Integers [Free Verse Poem]

I had come to my math class with my binder in my hands,
to learn the lesson that Mr. Harbeck had planned.
We had just finished probabilty,
I just hoped that the next lesson was within my ability.
So, I sat in my chair with an anxious look on my face,
I was wondering what unit would take probability's place.
Then Mr. Harbeck Shouted,"The next thing we are doing is..."
I thought, Oh no! We might be having a pop quiz!

Then he continued on with his talk about what we are doing today,
"Integers! We are doing integers! Hurray!"
I wondered what we were doing with integers this morning,

Mr Harbeck then said,"Guess what kind of equations I've been forming!"
Everyone waited for his important annoncement,
Then he began," We are doing addition in integers! Isn't adding integers an enjoyment?"

Then I wispered, 'yes!'
I loved addition in integers. I think that they're the best!
No need to pretend,
But I wish that it didnt come to an end!

Subracting Integers [Tanka Poem]
Subracting is hard
Additon is what to do
When you can't get through
in the question you change signs
to understand the question

Partitive [Haiku Poem]

The Partitive way,
Is easy when you get it,

If not it is hard.

Quotative [Free Verse Poem]

The quotative way,
The only way to get some types division done,
Without hurting your head.

Joysie's Joy-ful Rule of Multiplying Integers [Free Verse Poem]

Multiplying or Dividing
the rules are the same
If you have an even amount of negative integers,
your answer is always positve,
but if you have an odd amount of negatives,

then your answer will be negative.
Multiplying or Dividing,
The rules will always be the same.

Chapter 2: Combining like terms and the Distributive Property

XtraNormal

Nuki: Hey, Yuki.
Yuki: Hi, Nuki
Nuki: Is something the matter? You look kind of puzzled.
Yuki: It's just that I cant get the math problem that we were supposed to do in class.
Nuki: What's the question?
Yuki:The question is N + 3 - 5n + 12 n.
Nuki: What so hard about that? It's just algebra.
Yuki: Yea , I know but this question is pretty tricky...
Nuki: Let me have a go at it. My teacher says that i'm the best in math.
Yuki: Okay. But you have got to be careful. It's pretty confusing.
Nuki: Got it! The answer is 4n + 15.
Yuki: 4n + 15??? Is that really the answer? When I solved it , My answer was negative 6n+15. Can you show me how to simplify it?
Nuki: Sure. First you have to re write the question. You have to put the constants together and the variables together. But remember to bring the signs that are in front of the variable or the constant. Then you add the variables together. And add the contants together. And there's your answer.
Yuki: Wow, Nuki. You sure are good at simplifying algebra questions.
Nuki: Don't mention it. That's what friends are for.
Yuki: And since your so good at math, do you mind helping me with one more question?
Nuki: Sure, Yuki. What's the question?
Yuki: The question is 2 + 4(3n+8)
Nuki: I remember how to do these kinds of questions! I'll have it done right away. 'Pauses' Done! And the answer is 34 + 12n.
Yuki: I thought that the answer was 12n + 10. I guess I dont know my algebra. Want to show me how to do it?
Nuki: You bet ya. In this question, you have to multiply. The the constant is beside the letter without any thing in between it, meaning only one thing.. multiplying! You have to multiply the outside constant with the constants in the middle. One at a time of course. You start with the one on the left then go to the right. After multiplying, you have rewrite the question without the brackets and the constant that in front of it. After doing that, you have to add the constants. And then you get your answer.
Yuki: Wow. Thanks Nuki. You really helped me understand better algebra.
Nuki: No problem. I'm always happy to help you.

Chapter 3 : One Step Equation Solving
In this chapter you will learn how to solve one step equations. First you have to learn I COB V:
Isolate the Variable by
Canceling using the

Opposite
Balance and

Verify

Here how to do it:

Addition
Subtraction
Multiplication
Division

Nice poems Joysie! I really like how you can think of so many rhymes for your poem, and at the same time make it sound good, I can't do that, ahah. You got a bit of spelling errors, the first spelling error I noticed was the word "annoncement", it should have been spelt "announcement". The second spelling error was the word "wispered", it should be spelt with an "h", like this, "whispered". The third spelling error was the word "additon", in your second poem, it should be spelt, "addition". Well that's all I noticed, these are very minor spelling errors. Besides that, your poems are great!!!

Heey Joysie. I really liked your poems.

I thought that the first one was super great. I loved the way that most of your lines rhymed. Your use of coulor was great too. It made your poems easy to read and it helped me identify the poems better.

Thank you for taking the time to comment on my post. So I thought that I should return the favor. Good job and keep up the great work.

Purple! Great job Joysie! There was mostly no mistakes except for the line in which Nuki realizes that the answer is 4+15n. I think you forgot a negative sign in front of the 4.
Other then that, great job and nice movie! :)
