345,000 =100%; I have to find commission (6 3/4%)
345,000 / 100 = 3450 (1%)
3450 / 4 = 862.5 (1/4%)
862.5 x 3 = 2587.5 (3/4%)
































20,700 + 2587.50 = 23,287.50


The commission was $23,287.50

    Hi Kevin, you did a great post! I like your banner and the pictures you used to explain your thinking. To make your post better, I think you could explain the steps you took for the word problems and why you took them, just so things are a bit clearer. Overall, good job!

    I'd also just like to point out that you didn't actually have to find 60% and 3% and add the values in your first word problem answer. You could've just used the regular method of finding 1% and multiplying that by whatever percent of the whole you're looking for.
