Today in class we learned how to not to use training pants! Mr.Harbeck gave us a new green booklet. The integer questions in this booklet are written in standard form. He told us that we have to combine the integers to solve them. Here's an example:

When do you add oposites? When there are "Training wheels". For example:

Here are a few answers from the green booklet:

Part I

13. 6 - 9 = -3

15. 5 - 12 = -7

16. -8 + 3 = -5

Part II

3. 8 - (-4) + 7 - (-2) = 21

5. 12 - (-3) + 6 - 9 = 12

7. -8 - (-2) + 7 - 12 = -11

Hello my class mates! :)
Well today in class we had a integer quiz then Mr. Harbeck gave us a new book that is green! And he put on the smart board in BIG letters, STANDARD FORM! aka NO MORE TRAINING PANTS!

He explained that in standard form we combine integers or " put them all into one basket" .
we were asked to do the first 3 questions on the new green book : 6+8= , -4-3=, 15-2=
6+8=14 I have 6 I have 8

But wait what is missing AND! no more and ! Mr. H told us to look at the question like this :

so that we see 2 integers I have 6 I have8
#2
-4-3=-7- again owe 4 owe 3 = owe 7

NO AND!

Not in this case do we have to use brackets
ok that is my scribe for today Bye :)

heeello , (:
So, Today in math we had a 10-15 minute integer test by the time the test was done and over with Mr Harbeck gave us a "green" booklet, and just told us to forget about the "yellow" booklet for now. Inside of the "green" booklet there is integer questions some with brackets: example: 11 - (8)= 3 aka.. ( ) Training Wheels, and some without the brackets. Also in class we were doing the integers in standard form which means (NO MORE TRAINING PANTS!!). (:
in standard form all we do is "combine integers"
like this (:

Correct Question: -4 -3= -7

Wrong Question: -4 - (-3)=7

7-(-12)+5(-2)

* make it into a addition question.

7+(+12)+5(+2)

here's a example :

okay well that's my scribe , oh and if I made a mistake well then I'm sorry (:
