The quadrant we did today was +-. Our question for today was positive 6 divided by negative 2.
First of all we had to write the question in the 4 ways we know how.
Next we have to write out the 2 statements that we know.
We found out that the quotative and partitive ways do not work because we cannot make groups of -2 when we have 6.
So, we found another way to solve this question. By using .... multiplicative inverse! This will solve the question without grouping the integers.
Therefore, our answer will be negative three.
Homework
For homework, we had to do page 7 in the green booklet. Questions 10-17.
Mr. Harbeck Told us to:
And for those of you who need a little jump start in your homework, I will get you started with a few questions.
And for scribe tommorow, I choose.... Kim C
Wow! Nice scribe, it's very colorful, it's brief and also explains a lot. I think you made one mistake near the bottom, where it is (-5)(-9)/45, I think the (-5)(-9) is suppose to be POSITIVE 45, instead of negative. Anyway, nice scribe !!!

Hi Joysie! This scribe is nifty :D
I did find one mistake though. It is in this sentence, "Next we have to Write out the 2 satements that we know."
You spelled statements wrong and the word write with a capital W but it was not an important word or the first word in the sentence.
Over all really nice scribe. Thanks for putting that we only do 10-17 questions because I did all of them. ;]

Great job Joysielyn (correct me if I spelled your name wrong)! Just some spelling errors. The one that kind of stood out for me was how you spelled quadrant you spelled quadrent every time I believe. Also in the sentence "Next we have to Write out the 2 satements that we know" you forgot the "t" in statements (yes I'm being picky but you have to be when you edit). Also on your picture that lists the homework (in a very nice pink by the way) you spelled write out as one word (once again I'm being picky). Also you might want to add how to do question #16 because it turns into -12/-48 which cannot be solved by conventional means (quotative and partitive) so you might want to put that you must use the Multiplicative Inverse to solve the question. Other than those minor errors your scribe was quite excellently done!

Good Job Joysie! I really like your use of color and your scribe is so colorful! like wow.. I cant see any mistakes since everyone pointed it out and I guess you corrected it- KOODOS for that! I really like your pictures and I can see you put a lot of effort on making them. I'm not really picky I just want to comment to show that I think you did a great job and I appreciate all of your hardwork. I love the pink and purple and the font. It's all very readable and clear. Thanks for putting up the homework and giving us a jump start and as what Kevin said you explained everything briefly. Maybe there are some grammar and spelling errors but that doesn't affect your very well done scribe. I guess I've said everything and again Good Job and thank you:)
