Scribe Post for November 19 2008

Wednesday, November 19, 2008
Today in class we started learning about dividing integers. Mr. Harbeck and Mr. Backe (sorry if I spelt it wrong) taught us dividing positive integers. We flipped our 'barns' to the white side which is division.

We did the positive positive side (++).
The question is:
This question can be said in 2 ways.
1st way: (QUOTATIVE) How many 2s are in 6?
2nd way (PARTITIVE) How many equal parts are in 2 groups when we have 6?

ANOTHER WAY YOU CAN WRITE THIS QUESTION:

QUOTATIVE:

PARTITIVE:

Here's a video about dividing integers.

That's what we did in math today. Homework for Mr. Backe ( and again sorry if I spelt it wrong ): ) is to think about this question- ___x 2 = 6

I pick Gizzle to be the next scribe!

    Good Job, Karen!
I really liked how you added a video on multiplying integers.
I was also also amazed by the fact that you added your very own pictures.
While I was reading your scribe, I thought about what Mr. Backe taught us in math class.

But I found a little spelling error in your scribe. It was Backe's name. You put MR.Bakey instead of Mr. Backe. Also, your video on division did not deal with what we were learning in class today. Your mistakes, however, did not affect your wonderful scribe. ☺

    Once again, great scribe!

Good job, Karen. You did a good job making pictures, and reviewing what we did in class today. You should double check your grammar, and a few spelling errors. Also, to make your life a little easier, you could've taken pictures and upload them. It would look a lot nicer :)
