Today in class we went over the homework that was assigned yesterday. Here are a few of the questions that are answered.
n/ -5 = 15
-5n/-5 = 15(-5)
n = -75
-75/-5 =15
15=15
BUT WAIT!!!
what if the N was negative???!!
don't sweat! Ill show you how to figure it out ! ^_^
So Mr. Harbeck told us we can NOT have a negative N, so we have to change it right.
here is the question:
-n/5 =15
-n=75
(5) -n/-5= 15 (5)
NOTE: YOU CANT HAVE A NEGATIVE N!
so what do we? add a negative one to both sides. Like this.
(1) -n =75 (-1)
n=-75
Mr Harbeck asked me to show you how to divide with fractions.
Okay so here's the question :
1/6n =12
so we all know that n= +1 or 1 right. so just re-write the question to look like this:
n/6=12
so now it way easy! okay now let's solve it!
n/6=12
(6)/n=12(6)
n=72
n/6=12
72/6=12
12=12
Yeah! we did it !
Okay our homework was all of page 39, all of page 40 and all of page 41 (in our purple booklet so 50 question all together I suggest you do them because we will be reviewing or homework on Monday morning!)
NOTE: TEST ON TUESDAY NOT ON MONDAY!
Sorry for any mistakes!")
I chose Kimmy R to be the next scribe ..... ^_^
Good scribe Camille! Just a couple of things that aren't really errors but could be added to your scribe. The first is your picture is a little fuzzy. This is probably because you made it in paint and saved it as a .jpg instead of a .bmp. Blogger accepts both so I suggest using the .bmp because it keeps the picture's quality. Also, quite frequently you forget to use capitals in the proper places. This is minor but should be fixed nonetheless. Another thing is in the sentence "Yea we did it" located near the end of your scribe, you spelled "Yeah" as "yea" which is actually an old english word that means yes (you know, yea (pronounced "yay") or nay?). So, you might want to fix those things and other wise your scribe was a very accurate account of today's lesson. Once more, good job! :)
