Today, Mr. Harbeck assigned us 7 questions for multiplying fractions. We had partners, and we had to create a post explaining our answers.

6. One week, Kristi worked 3 days at a department store for 3 1/2 hours each day. She was paid $9/hour.

An "uber" smart mathematician. Pythagoras was a philosopher from Greek. They say that he was the greatest genius whoever lived. But they weren't sure if he actually existed because there was no trace of him being alive.

Pythagorean Theorem is the sum of the areas of the two
squares on the legs A & B which equals the area of the
square on the hypotenuse C.

definitions:

Pythagoras: The greatest genius ever lived. He is a "uber" smart mathematician, he was a Greek geek. It wasn't for sure that he was really alive or even existed.

Legs: These are connected to create the right angle of the right angle triangle a.k.a sides "A" and "B". They are also smaller than the hypotenuse.

Hypotenuse: The hypotenuse is the longest side of the right angle triangle, its the opposite side of the right angle also.

R.A.T: stands for Right Angle Triangle.

Greek : A person thatfrom ancient modern Greece.

Theorem: A theoretical proposition, statement, or formula, something to be proved from other formulas.

PAYING IT FORWARD.
for paying it forward i went bowling with my cousins and family. I handed out a pamphlet and 2 home made cookies to strangers who worked at the bowling alley. My pamphlet said " Little things can make a BIG difference". I told the people who worked there to pay it forward. They took it the wrong way because i said "pay it forward like asking for money or something", but i told them to keep their money and just give it to a shelter or to poor people, or kids ineed. They said they would. The reason why my cousins, family and I went bowling was because it was mine and my aunties birthday the next day and it was already school so we couldn't celebrate it. After my birthday party with my family was over they gave me money for a present almost 80$. Instead i decided that i didn't really need anything so i put most of the money in a donation jar in the bowling place. I felt really good because some of my money can be a good help to other people. Also in my uncles church we save a lot of money every year helping the kids in the Philippines its called "ga-wad kaling-a" gaaa- waaaad-kaaa-liiing - AH ''. Its for kids my age who dont have enough money to go to school and also babies who are really sick and dont have money to pay for medicine

CHAPTER 2 Combining like terms and distributive property

Swiper : Heey Boots!!, you want to learn about algebra

Boots: Sure

Swiper: wait.... do you even know what algebra is?

Boots: kind of, but im here to learn

Swiper: do you know n+3-5n+12. If you need my help all you do is ask.

Boots: Is it... -6n+15, I think thats the answer? is it?

Swiper: No thats wrong but nice try. Circle the variable then combine like terms so its easier.
Now simplify the question. Also n just means the number 1. sometimes you have to do it step by step. Soo.... What's n-5n?

Boots: is it -4?

Swiper: yes thats correct. How about 3 +12?

Boots: Thats easy ... 15

Swiper: put them together and you get??

Boots: -4n+15. Oh i get it thaanks a lot

Swiper: Do you think you can answer this question? 2+4(3n+8)

boots: First of all i knew the rule of multiplying intergers so i multiplied the 4 with 3 n's since there was a bracket. Thats how i got 12n+10 but i didn't know what to do with the other 2 numbers so i added them together

Swiper: the answer isn't 12n+10 its 12n+34 because you multiply 4 and 3n and you multiply 4 and 8 together then you just add 2 to 32 so it would be 12n+34
