In today's class, we learned how to add and subtract integers in standard form. In standard form we combine integers. For example, -4-3= -7. It's owe 4, owe 3. As you can see, there are no more "training wheels". You also DON'T add the opposites.
Then when do you add the opposites? You add the opposite when there are two "owes".

To get the answer in less confusing way, just collect them together or group like terms.

For today's homework, we got a new booklet that's green. On the first page, we do all the questions in part one and all the even numbers in part two.

PART ONE
1. 6+8=
2. -4-3=
3. 15-2=
4. 14+8=
5. 9-23=
6. -5-8=
7. -12+25=
8. -11+12=
9. 22-8=
10. -7-8=
... and so on.

PART TWO
2. 5-(-8)-(7)+5=
4. 5-2-(-7)-(-3)=
6. -7-(-5)-(-7)-8=
8. -7-(-5)-(5)+8=
10. -(-2)-(-6)-15=
12. -2-3+4-6=
14. 2-7-8=
16. 3-9+8=
... and so on.

Sorry if I didn't explain well or didn't make sense. If I'm wrong, just comment. :)
